The Cooking Club – Demo Delay Update + Sneak Peek at What’s Next

Hello everyone,

We hope you've been well! Today, we want to share an important update regarding The Cooking Club and what's happening behind the scenes here at Studio Z.

🧁 The Demo Will Be Delayed

First and foremost, our previously planned release window for The Cooking Club demo is shifting. After a lot of careful thought (and a fair bit of late-night discussion), we’ve decided to push the demo release back to July 15th, 2025.

We know delays aren’t easy to hear, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and support. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s been going on:

• Kotaro, one of our core team members, is currently away handling personal matters. Life comes first, and we fully support them as they navigate this chapter.

• Zander, our director and writer, is reaching the final stretch of a major academic milestone, wrapping up a 3-year study program. Needless to say, it’s crunch time.

• Our sprite artist is deep in exams right now—we want to give them the space and time to focus without stress.

• And while we’re incredibly excited to welcome Medea to the team (hooray!), we’ve decided not to throw her into the thick of our tangled narrative notes and branching paths just yet. She’s brilliant, but we believe in letting new team members find their footing first.

📅 A New Option – Steam Next Fest?

While our current goal is to launch the demo on July 15th, we’re also considering another option: postponing the Kickstarter version entirely in favor of a full demo release for Steam Next Fest this October.

This would give us more time to polish, refine, and truly showcase The Cooking Club the way we envision it. We’ll be posting a poll soon to gather your input—your voice matters here.

🎉 A New Project Reveal is Coming

To make up for the delay (and because we’re just really excited), we’ll be revealing one of our new projects in pre-production very, very soon. This is something we’ve been quietly shaping behind the scenes, and we can’t wait to finally start talking about it.
